I'm Starving! Not Really....
I feel like I'm losing my way. I've been doing really well w/my weight loss efforts. Even though I feel like I'm losing weight very slowly. I know I'm doing it the right and healthy way. But I'm seriously stressed about a lot of things right now.
I'm starting to have those food cravings that make no sense. Staring in the fridge as soon as I finish eating. Getting up at midnight b/c I think I'm hungry when I know I'm not. I want a cupcake. One of those kinds they sell at the grocery store for kids parties, w/the white icing and the stupid little clown sticking out of it. I want to a rootbeer float. I want a devil's food donut. I want Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles. I want a chocolate shake from Jack n' the Box. I want Golden Bird. I want a birthday cake from Costco w/white cake and white icing - and my birthday is 3 months away.
Argh! Weight loss sucks!

hang in there! I've just been on this journey a few weeks now and am already finding it difficult. You amaze me how you've stuck to it this far. you're an inspiration!
Oh, man, your choc shake craving reminded me of the Wendy's ones that they serve with a spoon. I'm relegating myself to Skinny Cows and weight watchers fudgesicles...
Try eating a little more fat in order to satisfy these cravings. Meat is good for you. Stuff like olive oil and nuts can help too. Ya gotta eat fat to lose fat, after all! Well, that's what they say, anyway... Plus, I just read a study about how low-fat dairy can cause some women some problems with their menstrual cycle and can even contribute to impotency (apparently, it's because of some ingredient they put in low/no-fat dairy products because it makes it taste more normal. I think it's pectin or something like that.). I haven't been eating full-fat dairy long enough to tell the difference yet, but I don't really want to take a chance.
Also, I know it might be hard, but try giving up sugar and refined carbs. I'm not really trying to lose weight (although I have just from doing this), but I've eaten almost no sugar lately, and I really do feel better. I also like the security of knowing that I can eat all the healthy foods I want. You really don't need sugar at all. Heck, I always thought I had a sweet tooth, but my taste buds are changing so that I like more and more bitter foods (I can even eat 100% dark chocolate now! I love the stuff!). Fiber is still good, though.
What I'm trying to say is that you don't need to ignore your cravings. Just eat your fill of fats, fiber, and protein (but don't over-stuff yourself), and you'll be good to go!
Good luck with your new, healthy way of life!
Nicole, you look great, you're doing so good on your program, don't give up now! Use the secret to visulize the end goal and stay positive and it'll come!
I like the no sugar approach, i'm going to look into that.
You really do look awesome, keep it up!
