OJ is a Free Man

Ok, everyone is all worked up over this interview that O.J. Simpson is doing on Fox. The title O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here's How It Happened. In the two-part series, which will promote his new book Simpson discusses how, hypothetically, he could have killed his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, who were murdered in 1994.

The former Heisman trophy winner was tried for the murders and acquitted in 1994, but later found liable for the deaths by in a wrongful-death suit filed by the Goldman family. "This is an historic case, and I consider this his confession," Judith Regan, whose imprint ReganBooks is publishing the book, told the Associated Press.

The Fox Web site has a preview of the show which is not a real premium confession, but more of a hypothetical “from concentrate” sort of affair in which OJ waters down his sentences with phrases like “might have” and “could have.” In the trailer, the former Heisman trophy winner says, “I don’t think any two people could be murdered without everybody being covered in blood,” before breaking down in tears. The clip shows him later declaring in a choked voice, “I can’t do no more of this!” as he gathers his things.

Here's my thought. IF OJ Simpson got away with murder it is a commentary on our justice system. There have been just as many acquitted guilty people as there have been convicted inncoent people. It is the nature of the system. OJ Simpson had a lot of money and the best legal team in the world. IF he got away with murder he's not the first man to do so. If he is innocent he needs to keep is ass in Florida, play golf and keep his freaking mouth shut. Unfortunately, OJ Simpson is an attention seeker by nature. But you know what, we as a society are responsible for that. We give people praise and attention and fame and fortune for what they do not for who they are. If you have a problem with this interview and this book then you need to address that with FOX and with the publishing company. Don't fault OJ for being OJ.
